The Vice President of Power Delivery Services is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational performance, and profitable growth of the Power Delivery Services division, encompassing power distribution, transmission, and substations. This role oversees business development and financial performance, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable delivery of services while expanding market presence and client relationships.
The ideal candidate brings deep utility-side and contractor-side experience, strong operational discipline, and proven executive leadership in large-scale power infrastructure environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the strategic vision, direction, and long-term growth plan for the Power Delivery Services division, including distribution, transmission, and substation services.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of power infrastructure projects and services.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain operational policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, quality standards, and operational excellence.
  • Lead planning and execution of capital improvement and infrastructure projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery.
  • Manage enterprise risk and ensure business continuity plans are in place for all power delivery operations.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities to expand market share and service offerings within the power delivery sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including utilities, government agencies, regulators, and private sector clients.
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and subcontractor relationships to enhance capabilities and geographic reach.
  • Collaborate closely with business development, sales, and marketing teams to position the company competitively and support bidding, proposals, and contract negotiations.
  • Prepare, manage, and oversee the division's operating budget, capital expenditures, and financial forecasts, ensuring cost-effective operations and profitability.
  • Serve as the primary executive point of contact for key clients and strategic stakeholders.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication, issue resolution, and consistent service quality.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, regulatory meetings, and client engagements.
  • Provide regular performance updates and strategic reports to executive leadership and the board of directors.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, quality, scalability, and customer satisfaction.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in power delivery, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure services, with significant experience on the contractor side.
  • Strong understanding of utility standards, regulatory requirements, safety programs, and compliance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, client management, and growing large-scale service portfolios.
  • Experience managing large, multi-disciplinary teams and geographically distributed operations.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, P&L ownership, and cost control.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required.
