Job description

Vice President of Marketing

Our client is a growing Canadian financial technology organization with an established core business and expanding platform capabilities. As the organization expands its commercial reach and introduces new product lines, they are hiring a Vice President of Marketing to establish and build out their dedicated marketing function.

In this role, you will take full ownership of the marketing function across all business entities. The position balances strategic positioning for established corporate offerings with the development of performance-driven acquisition models for new B2B commercial products. You will lead the in-house team, manage external partner networks, and build the go-to-market engine that drives market visibility, qualified pipeline, and top-line revenue.

What You’ll Do

Go-to-Market Strategy and Product Launches

  • Define and execute a data-driven marketing strategy across established corporate solutions and new B2B commercial product lines.
  • Build scalable lead funnels for self-serve and high-volume acquisition models across card processing, expense management, and specialized vertical platforms.
  • Standardize product positioning, messaging, and market narrative across digital channels, industry events, and sales collateral.

Demand Generation and Performance Marketing

  • Architect and scale multi-channel inbound lead engines using search visibility, digital channels, content, and targeted campaigns.
  • Own full-funnel performance metrics including lead volume, qualified lead conversion, acquisition costs, and marketing-sourced revenue.
  • Partner closely with sales and partnership leadership to optimize lead routing, nurture sequences, and CRM attribution tracking.

Team Leadership and Operations

  • Lead, mentor, and build the internal marketing team, bringing strategic capabilities in-house to maximize impact and cost efficiency.
  • Manage external agency partners and marketing budget allocations with a clear focus on return on investment.
  • Define annual marketing plans, operational cadences, and performance dashboards for executive business reviews.

Required Superpowers

  • Marketing leadership experience in B2B FinTech, payments, or commercial technology services.
  • Proven track record building lead funnels and demand generation engines targeted at commercial and small-to-medium business segments.
  • Hands-on proficiency across modern marketing operations, digital search strategies, content engines, and analytics platforms like CRM systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to align sales and marketing functions around lead quality, conversion metrics, and revenue outcomes.
  • Direct experience leading internal marketing teams and managing external vendor networks.
  • Practical, action-oriented mindset accustomed to moving quickly and solving problems in scaling environments.

This is an opportunity to serve as the founding senior marketing leader for a growing FinTech company, building the demand engine, product positioning, and go-to-market structure required to scale across established and emerging commercial markets.
