EBALDC is seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven fundraising leader to serve as Vice President of Resource Development & Advancement. This critical leadership role advances the organization’s mission, visibility, and long-term sustainability.

This is an opportunity to help lead one of the East Bay’s most impactful nonprofit community development organizations during a pivotal period of growth and transformation. The Vice President will partner closely with executive leadership, the Board of Directors, funders, and community partners to expand philanthropic investment, strengthen strategic relationships, and elevate the stories and impact of the communities we serve.

We are looking for a leader who brings both strategy and execution—someone who can inspire donors and partners, build scalable systems, develop a high-performing team, and advance equitable community development in the East Bay.

The Opportunity

As Vice President, Resource Development & Advancement, you will lead EBALDC’s enterprise fundraising strategy, overseeing institutional giving, major donor engagement, strategic partnerships, and philanthropic growth initiatives.

You will serve as a key external-facing leader, shaping how EBALDC tells its story, builds partnerships, and secures resources that directly support residents and communities across the East Bay.

This role is ideal for a collaborative, visionary advancement leader who thrives in mission-driven environments and is energized by both strategic leadership and hands-on execution.

What You’ll LeadFundraising Strategy & Revenue Growth
  • Lead EBALDC’s multi-year fundraising and advancement strategy
  • Drive diversified revenue growth across institutional, corporate, foundation, and individual giving
  • Partner with executive leadership and Finance on revenue goals, forecasting, and performance tracking
Donor & External Partnerships
  • Cultivate and steward major donors, foundations, corporate partners, and community stakeholders
  • Serve as a visible external ambassador for EBALDC
  • Partner with the CEO and Board to strengthen philanthropic engagement and strategic partnerships
Advancement Campaigns & Storytelling
  • Lead donor engagement campaigns and fundraising event strategy
  • Ensure fundraising efforts are mission-aligned, relationship-centered, and tied to community impact
  • Partner with Communications to strengthen storytelling and donor engagement
Systems & Team Leadership
  • Build scalable fundraising systems, reporting structures, and operational accountability
  • Lead and develop a high-performing advancement team
  • Establish sustainable processes that support long-term organizational growth
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Align fundraising, communications, and organizational priorities across departments
  • Help elevate EBALDC’s visibility and impact throughout the East Bay

  • 10+ years of progressive fundraising and advancement leadership experience
  • Proven success securing and managing major donor and institutional funding relationships

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is $150,000–$175,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
