Position Summary
The Vice President of Product is a global executive leader responsible for defining and driving the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Pismo's cloud-native financial technology platform, with a strong emphasis on next-generation core banking capabilities. This leader will shape Pismo's platform evolution, including ledger, accounts, payments, onboarding, and servicing modules to meet the needs of modern banks and financial institutions.
This role is central to Pismo's expansion into new markets, especially North America and Asia Pacific, where core banking modernization, cloud migration, and scalable digital architectures are critical. The VP of Product will ensure that Pismo's platform continues to deliver differentiated, flexible, and API-driven solutions that support large-scale financial operations.
The VP of Product will lead cross-functional product squads and work closely with engineering, delivery, design, sales, and customer success. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Core Banking Platforms, financial services architectures, regulatory environments, and the competitive landscape for modern banking technology.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Define and own the global product vision and strategy for Pismo's platform, with specific focus on core banking modules, scalability, extensibility, and regulatory readiness.
Drive the evolution of Pismo's product capabilities to support global scaling, modern banking demands, and regional compliance requirements.
Monitor industry trends, banking modernization programs, regulatory changes, and competitive solutions to inform platform direction and maintain differentiation.
Core Banking Product Strategy
Lead the roadmap for core banking functionality, including ledger and accounting engines, account management, deposit products, credit products, authorization flows, and financial operations.
Ensure Pismo's platform architecture and services meet enterprise-grade performance, resiliency, and compliance standards for banks and large financial institutions.
Assess platform performance and define data-driven enhancements across availability, reliability, extensibility, and operational efficiency.
Product Portfolio & Roadmap Management
Oversee the development and prioritization of the multi-year roadmap for Pismo's platform and modular services.
Ensure product initiatives reflect customer needs, market trends, and the evolution of core banking modernization programs worldwide.
Evaluate new product opportunities in banking infrastructure, embedded finance, and cloud-native financial systems.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Lead and mentor a global team of product managers with specialized expertise in banking, cloud platforms, and enterprise product development.
Partner with Engineering and Delivery organizations to ensure excellence in execution, high-quality releases, and strategic alignment.
Collaborate with Sales, Pre-Sales, and Customer Success to support market penetration, platform adoption, and client migration programs.
Market Expansion & Customer Advocacy
Adapt Pismo's core banking strategy and product positioning for local markets, considering regulatory requirements, operational standards, and customer expectations.
Serve as an executive sponsor for strategic clients, especially banks undergoing modernization or cloud transformation.
Represent Pismo at industry events and customer forums as a thought leader in core banking modernization.
Innovation & Future Growth
Identify new opportunities in banking-as-a-service (BaaS), embedded finance, real-time ledger services, and cloud-native banking architectures.

Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
15+ years of product management experience, with deep expertise in Core Banking Platforms (e.g., ledger systems, account management, deposits/loans, financial operations, regulatory compliance).
7+ years in senior or executive product leadership roles.
Proven success building or scaling products in banking technology, fintech infrastructure, or enterprise financial systems.
Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, API-driven platforms, and distributed financial systems.
Direct experience working with banks or large financial institutions-preferably overseeing modernization, migration, or transformation initiatives.
Experience defining global product strategy for North America and APAC markets.
Strong leadership abilities in managing high-performing, multinational teams.
Excellent communication, stakeholder alignment, and executive-level presence.
Demonstrated ability to deliver customer-centric, innovative, and high-impact platform solutions.Information for US Applicants :For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $235,700.00 to $ 412,200.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
