POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Vice President of Finance to join our dynamic leadership team. The ideal candidate will be responsible to build the organization into a disciplined, scalable platform with the foundation to grow organically. Overseeing the financial health of the business, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and providing strategic and analytical insights to support our growth and operational efficiency.

OBJECTIVES

Revenue Growth-Drive revenue surfacing shortfalls early and mobilizing sales and operations to close the gap every month.

Gross Margin Expansion — lead margin improvement, partnering with operations and commercial leaders to identify and execute the levers that achieve the organization's growth objectives.

EBITDA Growth & Financial Leadership — build and run all three CFO pillars to significantly grow EBITDA by 2028:

  • Deliver accurate, on-time financial reporting: a clean monthly close and a board-ready package
  • Drive FP&A that shapes the annual budget, runs monthly reforecasts, and produces decision-ready variance analysis
  • Enforce treasury discipline: cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and covenant compliance

Build a Scalable Base Business — strengthen the organization's operating and financial foundation (systems, processes, and cost controls). Standardize the close, reporting, and cost-accounting processes so they are repeatable, audit-ready, and diligence-ready.

Leadership & Talent — lead as a visible, commercially-minded member of the leadership team: elevate the caliber of talent, and take on special projects, cross-functional execution, and ensure follow-through on accountability.

EXPERIENCE

MUST HAVE — Required for consideration:

  • Finance leadership experience (prior VP title not required)
  • Experience with financial reporting, FP&A, and treasury/cash management
  • Strong technical accounting skills GAAP, basic consolidations, and working knowledge of purchase accounting for acquisitions
  • Track record of building and developing talent

NICE TO HAVE — Meaningfully differentiated:

  • Experience integrating an acquired business's financials, systems, or reporting into an existing company.
  • Comfort operating without a large finance team; able to personally manage or closely oversee day-to-day accounting.
  • Exposure to manufacturing accounting (inventory, cost accounting, standard costs)
  • ERP/systems experience, though not a requirement to implement new systems
  • Exposure to precision manufacturing, optics, or a similarly technical, engineered-product environment.
  • Experience in a PE-backed environment.
  • Experience taking on special projects, cross-functional execution, and process discipline.
