Job description

Executive Vice President, Family & Homeless Services

Reports To: Chief Administrative Officer

Location: 955 Flatbush Ave., 5th floor Brooklyn NY, 11226 (Hybrid Remote)

What The Executive Vice President (Family & Homeless Services) Does: Program Management
  • Understand all relevant contracts, programs, policies and procedures both strategically and systemically within the context of CAMBA as an organization
  • Oversee 19 programs and ensure compliance in 25
  • Ensure that all goals, targets, and performance outcomes are met on a monthly/cycle
  • Clearly communicate CAMBA's and funders' expectations of
  • Review analysis of activities, costs budgets, operations, actual performance against targets, and forecast data to determine program/department/division progress toward stated goals and objectives.
  • Confer with the appropriate Chief Administrative Officer and with funders to review achievements and to determine if any changes in goals or objectives are required based on progress-to-date.
  • Participate in program development and proposal writing process and develop new initiatives that complement existing programming or meet a newly established
  • Negotiate, or assist in negotiating, contracts with funders and interact with them on a regular
Staff & Performance Management
  • Encourage staff in building open, honest, trustworthy relationships with, clients, staff, peers, Executive Staff, funders, referral sources, outside agencies, and the
  • Act as a resource sounding board for the Chief Administrative Officer to brainstorm work through issues to the point of final
  • Present policy and procedure, personnel, and programmatic issues to the Chief Administrative Officer and/or to other members of the Executive Staff for decisions as
  • Conduct regular staff
  • Collaborate with staff in developing program implementation plans/work-plans and ensure all compliance issues have been resolved by direct reporting staff.
  • Motivate staff to take an ownership/leadership role in program development and
  • Encourage and coach staff to take initiative to improve contract performance and
  • Ensure that all direct and subordinate staff has what they need (support, training, skills, resources, supplies, technology, space, etc.) to accomplish their monthly goals and performance
  • Ensure that all direct and subordinate staff comply with CAMBA's and funders' policies and rules and that any disciplinary action taken is in compliance with CAMBA's disciplinary policy and
  • Review leave requests and sign timesheets for direct reporting staff and/or their
  • Prepare and administer performance appraisals for direct reporting staff and/or their
  • Routinely practice Management by Walking Around via site visits and on-site observations of
  • Direct, coordinate and participate in recruiting and interviewing potential
  • Make hiring and firing decisions in consultation and agreement with Human
General Administration
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all weekly/monthly/quarterly/semester/annual reports and statistical information for both CAMBA Executive Staff and funder
  • Develop relationships with community partners and
  • Confer with the Chief Administrative Officer and other CAMBA Executive Staff as needed regarding programmatic and personnel
  • Immediately report to the Chief Administrative Officer and/or other CAMBA Executive Staff as needed any: monitoring visits or funders' events; significant events; any incident that might subject CAMBA to
  • Comply with any and all Federal, State, City and CAMBA security and privacy polices intended to protect the security and privacy of individually identifiable health
  • Tasks may be modified, expanded and/or assigned over
  • Availability to be on call 24/7 and respond to emergency and crisis
What Are the Results Expected to Be Achieved: Outputs:
  • All direct reporting staff members will be performing at a satisfactory level or better each month.
  • 90% of contracts will receive a satisfactory or higher programmatic rating including vendex audit reports.
  • 90% of performance appraisals will be completed per direct reporting staff member annually.
  • All renewal proposals submitted timely annually.
Performance Targets:
  • 90% of programs within the service area meet or exceed their performance targets annually.
  • All funding agencies’ requirements are met and demonstrate compliance with agencies’ standards annually.
Minimum Education/Experience Required:
  • Master's degree (M.A., M.P.A., M.B.A., MSW, M.P.H)
  • Ten years of applicable experience and/or equivalent experience
Compensation:

$200,000 - $230,000 annually. When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate. This includes but is not limited to experience, education, budget and/or program size, internal equity, skills and other factors that may be required for the position and organization.

Status: Full-time (35 hours per week)
