TAK Broadband is a leading end-to-end U.S. fiber broadband network construction contractor operating in 42 states. It builds more than just networks; it connects communities to new valuable digital opportunities. TAK offers comprehensive service solutions, from construction to drops to fulfillment. TAK’s ecosystem of partners allows it to successfully complete every project starting from the first point of conception. This includes engineering teams, distributors, and more than 100 qualified construction crews with extensive experience across all ISP types and markets; over 300 experienced bury drop crews; and more than 700 professional technicians.

We are seeking an accomplished executive to serve as Senior Vice President of Operations, Construction. The Sr VP of Operations leads all telecommunications construction operations nationwide, from business-as-usual (BAU) work to large-scale capital projects, driving revenue growth, margin performance, and operational excellence across a multi-market portfolio. Reporting to the COO and leading a team of Vice Presidents, this leader is accountable for building the people, systems, and processes required to scale the business profitably while maintaining safety, quality, and customer commitments.

The Role
  • Establish and lead a nationwide zero-incident safety culture, making safety a non-negotiable priority across all markets and operations
  • Own the P&L for nationwide telecom construction operations, including BAU and large-scale capital projects, with accountability for revenue growth and NOI/margin improvement
  • Lead and develop Vice Presidents overseeing geographically dispersed markets, establishing performance expectations, building leadership depth, and ensuring consistent execution
  • Partner with the COO and executive leadership to develop strategy, capacity plans, and annual operating budgets supporting growth toward $400MM+ in annual revenue while maintaining healthy margins
  • Drive operational excellence by standardizing processes, workflows, systems, and best practices across markets
  • Oversee unit economics, including revenue per job and crew, productivity, and margin performance, holding market leaders accountable to financial and operational targets
  • Identify and pursue strategic contracts and program opportunities that generate sustainable, recurring revenue and strong margins
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, contractual, regulatory, and company requirements across all markets and job sites
  • Develop and monitor leadership performance scorecards covering financial results, revenue growth, operational performance, unit economics, organizational scalability, talent development, and strategic growth
  • Represent construction operations with customers, carrier and client partners, and internal stakeholders, resolving escalations and strengthening key relationships
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in telecommunications construction, infrastructure, field services, or a related industry, including 7+ years at the VP level or equivalent managing multi-market P&L, large-scale projects, and BAU operations
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered
  • Proven experience scaling construction or field services operations, preferably to $400MM+ in annual revenue
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed VP, regional, or market leadership teams across a nationwide footprint
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred
  • Deep knowledge of telecom construction, P&L management, unit economics, billing and revenue cycle management, and field management or ERP systems
  • Strong financial and operational analytical skills with the ability to identify margin, billing, productivity, and performance issues and drive corrective action at scale
  • Proven executive presence with the ability to lead, develop, coach, and hold senior leadership teams accountable
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with executive leadership, customers, business partners, and field personnel
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and applicable telecommunications, construction, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Primarily office or administrative work with regular visits to active construction sites
  • Ability to walk active construction sites, including uneven terrain, and safely navigate typical construction environments
  • Ability to review reports, financial data, and site documentation and communicate effectively in office, telephone, and active construction environments
  • Frequent travel of approximately 50–75% to markets and job sites nationwide, including multi-day trips as needed
  • Primarily office or remote work environment with regular exposure to active outdoor construction sites, including noise, weather conditions, and standard construction-site hazards
  • Must follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE when visiting active job sites
  • Expected to champion and reinforce a strong safety culture across all markets
  • Hybrid/remote-eligible for administrative work, with regular in-market and in-person presence required to support field leadership and operations
  • Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver’s license is required if the role involves driving
  • Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
