Job description

About SAC Incorporated

SAC Incorporated is an industrial engineering, design, and fabrication company serving the Water, Energy, Advanced Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Data Center, and Heavy Industrial markets.

We specialize in the engineering, detailing, fabrication, and modularization of process piping systems, engineered pipe support systems, multi-disciplinary rack systems, skid-mounted process systems, and off-site manufactured solutions. Our mission is to help clients improve safety, reduce field labor requirements, control project costs, enhance quality, and maintain schedule certainty through advanced prefabrication and modular construction methodologies.

As industrial construction continues to evolve, SAC is positioned at the forefront of the industry's transition toward manufacturing-based project delivery. We work closely with owners, EPCs, contractors, and trade partners to shift work from the field into controlled fabrication environments where safety, productivity, quality, and predictability can be significantly improved.

Today, SAC is undertaking a transformational expansion, including the development of a next-generation industrial fabrication and manufacturing campus featuring advanced automation, robotics, digital workflows, BIM/VDC integration, and modern manufacturing technologies. This investment will establish SAC as a national leader in industrial fabrication, modularization, and off-site manufacturing.

The Opportunity

SAC is seeking an exceptional Sr. Vice President of Construction Services to lead and integrate our engineering, design, BIM/VDC, technical services and project management functions while helping shape the future of the organization.

Reporting directly to the President & COO and serving as a member of the executive leadership team, this individual will be responsible for building and leading a world-class technical organization capable of supporting SAC's continued growth, expansion into new markets, and evolution into a technology-enabled manufacturing enterprise.

This is not a traditional engineering management role. We are looking for a leader who can simultaneously drive technical excellence, organizational development, operational effectiveness, digital transformation, project management and client engagement.

The successful candidate will be equally comfortable reviewing complex engineering analyses, constructability challenges, fabrication methodologies, and digital workflows during the day as they are building relationships with clients, strategic partners, owners, and industry leaders in the evening.

For the right individual, this role represents a unique opportunity to help build one of the most advanced industrial engineering and fabrication organizations in North America.

Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Strategy
  • Lead all engineering, design, detailing, BIM/VDC, and technical services functions.
  • Develop and execute the company’s engineering, technology, and digital transformation strategy.
  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing multidisciplinary technical organization.
  • Establish standards, processes, and accountability systems that support growth and operational excellence.
  • Partner with executive leadership to drive long-term strategic initiatives and organizational development.
Engineering & Technical Excellence
  • Provide leadership and oversight for structural engineering, piping engineering, pipe stress analysis, FEA, constructability reviews, and technical design activities.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables meet applicable codes, standards, quality requirements, and client expectations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in engineering execution, productivity, and technical innovation.
  • Champion practical, fabrication-driven engineering solutions that improve project outcomes.
Design, BIM & Digital Delivery
  • Lead all CAD, detailing, BIM/VDC, fabrication drawing, and digital delivery functions.
  • Advance SAC’s use of BIM, digital fabrication, automation, and integrated project delivery methodologies.
  • Establish scalable design standards and model management practices.
  • Promote the use of technology to improve accuracy, efficiency, collaboration, and project execution.
Cross-Functional Integration
  • Work collaboratively with estimating, project management, procurement, quality, and fabrication operations to improve communication and execution across the organization.
  • Develop integrated digital workflows that connect estimating, engineering, detailing, procurement, fabrication, and project delivery.
  • Eliminate process inefficiencies, duplicate effort, and information silos.
  • Support fabrication and manufacturing operations through improved constructability, standardization, and manufacturing readiness.
Client & Industry Engagement
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients, owners, EPCs, and strategic partners.
  • Support business development, client relationship management, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Represent SAC at industry events, client meetings, and executive-level engagements.
  • Help position SAC as a recognized industry leader in engineering, modularization, and advanced manufacturing.
What Success Looks Like

Within the first 24 months, the successful candidate will:

  • Build and develop a best-in-class engineering and design organization.
  • Successfully integrate engineering, BIM/VDC, detailing, estimating, project management, and fabrication workflows.
  • Support the successful launch and growth of SAC's next-generation manufacturing campus.
  • Improve engineering productivity, drawing quality, and technical execution.
  • Establish scalable standards, systems, and processes capable of supporting significant future growth.
  • Expand SAC’s digital capabilities and strengthen the connection between design and fabrication.
  • Help position SAC as a national leader in industrial engineering, fabrication, modularization, and off-site manufacturing.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive engineering, design, or technical leadership experience.
  • Minimum 10 years leading multidisciplinary engineering and design teams.
  • Demonstrated success working across engineering, estimating, project management, fabrication, and executive leadership functions.
  • Experience supporting industrial construction, manufacturing, fabrication, modularization, EPC, or design-build environments strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of structural systems, piping systems, fabrication methodologies, BIM/VDC, and industrial project execution.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate combines technical depth, business acumen, operational awareness, and executive presence.

They are a builder of teams, systems, and organizations. They possess the credibility to challenge complex technical issues, the leadership skills to inspire high-performing teams, and the interpersonal abilities to develop trusted relationships with clients and partners.

Most importantly, they are energized by the opportunity to help build something extraordinary.

Compensation

SAC offers a highly competitive executive compensation package including base salary, performance incentives, benefits, and the opportunity for long-term value creation.
