This position is located at the Corporate Office in Lincoln, Nebraska and is not eligible for WFH status on a regular or hybrid basis.  WFH on occasion is acceptable.

About this Role:
Responsible for developing and implementing strategic HR plans, policies and initiatives to support the company’s mission and strategy.  Direct all human resources functions (HR Management, Training, Compensation, Benefits, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition) in accordance with the policies and practices of Resort Lifestyle Communities.  Ensure HR functions are compliant with governmental, regulatory and other advisory authorities and organizations.  Foster positive relationships with Residents and Community Team Members.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluates and advises on the impact of long-range planning of new programs/strategies and regulatory action as those items affect the attraction, motivation, development and retention of the people resources of the organization.
  • Participates in the development of the organization's plans and programs as a strategic partner, particularly from the perspective of the impact on people.
  • Translates the strategic and tactical business plans into HR strategic and operational plans.
  • Develops progressive and proactive compensation and benefits programs to provide motivation, incentives and rewards for effective performance.
  • Leads the Talent Acquisition function in recruitment efforts for all positions across the company.
  • Manages both centralized and localized recruitment efforts utilizing best in class recruitment methodologies, systems and processes to attract and retain top talent.
  • Develops programs to allow the organization to embrace applicants and employees of all backgrounds and to permit the full development and performance of all employees.
  • Directs and supports all Employee Relations efforts including performance development plans and disciplinary investigations and actions.
  • Develops human resource planning models to identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps, and develop specific programs to fill the identified gaps.
  • Establishes credibility throughout the organization to be an effective listener and problem solver of people issues.
  • Enhances and/or develops, implements and enforces HR policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the organization.
  • Ensures all policies and procedures comply with the company’s core values, legal regulations and best practices.
  • Implements and manages the human resource information systems (HRIS) database and provides necessary reports for critical analyses of the HR function and the people resources of the organization.
  • Provides technical advice and knowledge to others within the human resource discipline.
  • Collaborates with managers and directors on all HR Related topics.
  • Manages other areas such as relocation, employee communication, and employee safety and health.
  • Manages the budget and other financial measures of the HR department.
  • Analyzes the effectiveness of HR operations and policies using metrics and analytics.
  • Evaluates current and prospective resources, tools and platforms for efficiency and effectiveness and make recommendations accordingly.
  • Promotes the company culture and its core values and principles.
  • Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Prepare reports for the CEO using business metrics and KPI’s.
  • Evaluates the HR function and team for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as for providing individuals with professional and personal growth opportunities.

  • PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SCP certification, or the ability to obtain certification within 12 months of hire
  • Previously held a Senior HR Leadership position i.e.; Director HR, VP HR preferred
Essential Functions:
  • Ability to work in a standard professional office environment.
Expected Hours of Work and Travel:
  • This is a full-time position, and business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Longer hours, evenings and weekend work will be necessary frequently.
  • This position requires up to 25% travel, some of which may be scheduled at the last minute.
