Job description

Overview

NIH Federal Credit Union (NIHFCU) seeks a strategic, technology-forward Senior Vice President, Chief Lending Officer to lead its growth, performance, as well as the innovation of its consumer, business, residential, and card lending divisions, along with administration and loss mitigation functions. Reporting to the President/CEO and serving on the Executive Leadership Team, the SVP, CLO will oversee the full lending lifecycle, driving portfolio growth, digital transformation, and data-driven decision-making while ensuring strong credit quality, regulatory compliance, and an exceptional member experience.

Qualifications

A bachelorโ€™s degree is required (masterโ€™s preferred), along with 10โ€“15 years of progressive lending experience, including senior leadership in a credit union or similar financial institution. Experience at a credit union of comparable or larger asset size preferred.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate is a results-oriented executive with deep lending expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and experience leveraging modern technologies, including AI and advanced analytics. This individual will build high-performing teams, strengthen secondary market and fintech partnerships, and align lending strategies with NIHFCUโ€™s mission.
