Job description

Equifax is where you can power your possible. If you want to achieve your true potential, chart new paths, develop new skills, collaborate with bright minds, and make a meaningful impact, we want to hear from you.
The Vice President, Data Acquisition and Partnerships, serves as the senior executive responsible for the USIS wide data acquisition strategy. This leader defines and executes the roadmap for data sourcing, monetization, and strategic partnerships, acting as a critical architect for Equifax's competitive advantage. Reporting to SVP, USIS Data, this executive manages the organization's high-stakes relationships with data providers, exchanges, and internal business units (BUs). The VP is a primary evangelist for data value, driving scalable growth through innovative sourcing, rigorous governance, and sophisticated negotiation of complex, high-value contracts.
What you'll do
  • USIS Data Strategy: Translate enterprise-wide business goals into a comprehensive USIS data acquisition and development strategy. Influence Senior Leadership Team (SLT) on adoption, resource allocation, and long-term data investment roadmaps.
  • Partnership & Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain critical C-suite relationships with external partners, boards, and industry exchanges. Serve as the face of Equifax to vendors and key industry stakeholders.
  • Contract Negotiation & Management: Lead the efforts towards next-generation data capabilities. Oversee the development of a monetization framework, linking data assets directly to product revenue and enterprise ROI. Identify and pursue opportunities for M&A due diligence and integration.
  • Vendor Contract Compliance: Anchor all go-to-market efforts in consistent data custodianship, compliance, and risk management. Define the contract SLAs for upholding data quality, ensuring all controls are functional and fully documented.
  • Cross-Functional Advocacy: Serve as a trusted advisor to Sales, Product, Legal, and Finance leadership. Align competing agendas across Business Units (BUs) and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to ensure consistent execution of high-visibility, global programs.
  • Team Leadership & Talent Development: Develop and mentor a high-performing global organization. Build a culture of accountability, agility, and continuous improvement, empowering the team to deliver "best-in-industry" results.

Core Competencies & Requirements:
  • Strategic Visionary: Demonstrated ability to look beyond immediate operational needs to identify market-disrupting trends, competitive advantages, and long-term growth opportunities.
  • Executive Influence: Proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization without direct authority. Expert negotiation skills for complex, multi-million dollar data agreements and licensing frameworks.
  • Industry Expertise: Deep subject matter expertise in financial services, identity & fraud, data and analytics business models, and the regulatory environment. Ability to serve as a thought leader on data policy and industry trends.
  • Operational Excellence: Expert in resource forecasting, budget management, and operational routine optimization. Strong experience in delivering complex, enterprise-grade projects on time and within scope.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical/data concepts into compelling executive-level narratives.

Education & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline required; Master's Degree or MBA strongly preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in strategic planning, data management, or business strategy, preferably within data-driven financial services or technology companies.
  • 10+ years of proven executive-level leadership experience managing large, cross-functional teams.
  • Extensive experience in managing high-stakes vendor negotiations and building multi-party data partnerships.
  • Advanced proficiency in navigating complex global privacy frameworks and the evolving data regulation environment.

We offer comprehensive compensation and healthcare packages, 401k matching, paid time off, and organizational growth potential through our online learning platform with guided career tracks.
