Job description

Description:

Join our Team as our VP Brand Engagement

Home Office: State Street Administrative Office – Saginaw, MI

Schedule: Flexible with some events requiring non-regular hours, such as evenings or weekends.

At Jolt Credit Union, our brand is more than a logo. It’s how we show up, how we serve, how we connect with our communities, and how people feel when they interact with us.

We’re looking for a VP Brand Engagement to lead that experience.

This is a highly visible, strategic leadership role for someone who can see the big picture while still knowing how to bring a great idea to life. You’ll be the steward of the Jolt brand, leading the strategy behind our marketing, communications, community engagement, partnerships, and member experience while helping our employees become some of our strongest brand ambassadors.

Reporting directly to the President & CEO, you’ll have the opportunity to influence how Jolt grows, connects, communicates, and makes an impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Jolt Brand

  • Develop and execute Jolt’s long-term brand engagement strategy, ensuring our brand, mission, values, and Service Promise are reflected across every touchpoint.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on branding, communications, reputation, member engagement, and growth.
  • Champion the Jolt brand internally and help employees become strong brand ambassadors.

Build Community Connections

  • Lead Jolt’s community engagement strategy and build meaningful partnerships with nonprofits, schools, businesses, civic organizations, community leaders, and other community partners.
  • Identify and lead opportunities for Jolt to make a meaningful impact through sponsorships, charitable giving, financial education, scholarships, volunteerism, and signature community initiatives.
  • Represent Jolt throughout the community at events, speaking engagements, media opportunities, networking events, and civic organizations.

Drive Marketing & Digital Engagement

  • Lead innovative marketing strategies that strengthen brand awareness, attract new members, and deepen member engagement.
  • Oversee digital marketing, social media, website, email, advertising, content, media relationships, marketing vendors, and digital engagement tools.
  • Use market research, member insights, analytics, and performance metrics to identify opportunities and guide strategic decisions.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.

Keep Our People Connected

  • Lead internal communications that keep employees informed, engaged, and aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Partner with executive leadership on organizational announcements, change communications, executive messaging, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Reinforce the Jolt brand, mission, values, and Service Promise throughout the employee experience.

What you bring to the team:

We’re looking for a strategic, creative leader who knows how to build relationships, tell a compelling story, spot opportunities, and turn ideas into action. Someone who is equally comfortable in the boardroom, out in the community, or rolling up your sleeves with your team.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; credit union or banking experience strongly preferred.
  • 7–10 years of leadership experience in marketing, communications, branding, and community engagement, with 3–5 years in sales, public relations, or business development.
  • Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, project management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing, analytics, public relations, media, graphics, and design.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and marketing-related systems, including MCIF.

What We Offer You

4 Competitive Medical Plan Options
Dental and Vision Insurance

401(k) & 457(b) with Employer Match
Flexible Spending Account(s)
Employee Assistance Program

Employee Wellness Program with Quarterly Bonus Incentives
Paid Time Off

If you’re ready to lead a brand, build meaningful relationships, champion our communities, and help shape the future of Jolt Credit Union, we’d love to hear from you.
