Job description

Description of the role:
Wynne Volvo Cars Hampton is seeking to hire an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team. As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing quality repair and maintenance work that meets brand standards. You will diagnose, perform maintenance, and repair various automotive systems, including the engine, transmission, steering, suspension, air conditioning, brakes, and electrical components. This is a full-time position located in Hampton, Virginia.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on vehicles following brand standards
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems
  • Communicate effectively with the Service Advisor about repair status and recommendations
  • Complete warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications
  • Perform state inspections as needed
  • Test drive vehicles as needed
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as an automotive technician, preferably with Volvo vehicles
  • State Inspector's License is preferred
  • Working knowledge of shop equipment
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop for prolonged periods of time, and the ability to lift up to 75lbs
  • Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Must be willing to participate in pre-employment background check and drug screen
