Job description

What you will do

As a District Parts Manager (DPM), you will partner with Mack and Volvo dealerships to grow wholesale and retail parts sales. You will develop strategic business plans, strengthen dealer relationships, and help dealerships execute the actions needed to improve sales performance and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Drive Business Growth

  • Achieve annual parts sales growth targets established by Mack and Volvo Trucks.
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans with assigned dealerships.
  • Hold dealers accountable for agreed-upon business objectives through performance metrics, action plans, and recurring follow-up.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with Dealer Principals and dealership leadership.


Build Strong Dealer Partnerships

  • Establish relationships with Dealer Principals and Parts, Service, Sales, and Leasing leaders.
  • Serve as a trusted business advisor to dealership decision-makers.
  • Resolve dealer and fleet issues while delivering the best possible customer experience.


Increase Sales Performance

  • Drive parts sales and market share through established sales processes.
  • Utilize Volvo's CRM and other market tools to manage sales opportunities, pipelines, and customer interactions.
  • Increase dealer utilization of PartsASIST, MAPP, Fleet Preferred, Ad Builder and other marketing tools.
  • Authorize parts pricing adjustments to address competitive market conditions.


Coach and Develop Dealer Teams

  • Train and implement the MAPP (Market Area Parts Potential) Sales Management process.
  • Coach Outside Parts Salespeople (OPS) and Parts Managers in key areas, including:
    • Sales strategy
    • Opportunity management
    • Account segmentation
    • Merchandising
    • Pricing
    • Operations
    • Risk management
    • Business performance


Collaborate Across the Organization

  • Build strong partnerships with internal teams across:
    • Truck Sales
    • Service
    • Finance
    • Leasing
    • Used Trucks
    • Develop an internal support network to help drive dealership success.

Qualifications

Education

  • 5+ years of experience in the heavy-duty truck, automotive, or related industry.
  • Previous transportation industry sales experience preferred.

Travel

  • Frequent travel required (approximately 60%).

For this position, the base pay is set at $111,100 - $137,200 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
