Rev up your career with Schumacher Auto Group, one of South Florida’s most respected names in the automotive industry. We’re looking for skilled and motivated Volvo Main Line Technicians to join our VERY BUSY, high-performing service team.


As a Main Line Technician, you'll be the engine behind our workshop's success, diagnosing and repairing vehicles with precision and expertise. From routine maintenance to intricate repairs, you'll be the driving force ensuring every vehicle that leaves our shop is road-ready and running at peak performance. You’ll work alongside a team of certified professionals in a fast-paced, well-equipped environment where quality, safety, and customer satisfaction come first.


What You're Responsible For:

  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on Volvo vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership standards.
  • Accurately diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns.
  • Complete routine services including brakes, suspension, steering, HVAC, and engine repairs.
  • Use OEM diagnostic tools (VIDA or equivalent) to identify and resolve vehicle issues.
  • Document all work performed clearly and accurately on repair orders.
  • Communicate effectively with Service Advisors regarding vehicle status, recommended repairs, and completion timelines.
  • Ensure all repairs meet Volvo quality and safety standards before vehicle release.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Participate in Volvo factory training and ongoing technical development.
  • Follow all federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations (OSHA, hazardous waste, etc.).
  • Properly use and care for dealership-owned tools and equipment.
  • Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or unusual vehicle conditions to management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:

What You Bring:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Main Line or Diagnostic Automotive Technician preferred.
  • Volvo experience strongly preferred (or European luxury brand experience).
  • Familiarity with Volvo VIDA diagnostic systems or similar OEM platforms preferred.
  • ASE Certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain with company support).
  • Strong electrical, diagnostic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to accurately document repairs and follow OEM repair procedures.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume dealership environment.
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the role (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, bending, etc.).
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
