About the Job Volvo Automotive Technician Reports To: Service Manager. Works Closely With: Parts Department and Service Advisors. Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Volvo Automotive Technician to join our service team. This role is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostics and repairs while maintaining Volvo standards, efficiency, and exceptional customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
  • Be ready to work no later than 8:00 AM. (Service Advisors arrive at 7:15 AM; early clock-in and vehicle pull-in is permitted).
  • Perform test drives on all repairs.
  • Take responsibility for comebacks within 30 days for the same concern. (No pay for workmanship-related errors).
  • Return all warranty parts immediately after completing repairs.
  • Perform Multimedia Inspections on every vehicle. (Counts toward NPS, STATURE, and Pinnacle metrics).
  • Accurately flag all labor lines with actual working time. (Diagnosis, repair, inspections, etc.).
  • Complete all Repair Orders with accurate "Cause" and "Correction" documentation.
  • Maintain clean, organized work bays. (Scrap metal may be neatly stacked and set aside).
  • Follow all Volvo and dealership repair procedures and standards.
Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Team-oriented, flexible, and customer-focused.
  • Ability to follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Report all accidents or safety concerns immediately to management or HR.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and a neat, safe work area.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Performance Expectations:
  • Clock on and off all working lines in DealerTrack (or current DMS). (Used to track efficiency relative to workload and skill level).
  • Complete all required Volvo/SOA training in a timely manner.
  • Perform Multimedia Inspections on all vehicles, regardless of mileage, age, or service request.
  • Work respectfully and efficiently with Service Advisors and Parts Department.
  • Productivity expectation: Each lift is expected to clock a minimum of 8 hours daily. (Actual days may vary based on workflow; downtime is actively minimized to support efficiency).
