Job description

CDL Driver – Local Hauling

We are seeking a reliable CDL Driver to support local hauling operations in a fast-paced scrap and recycling environment. This role is responsible for safely transporting materials between customer locations and the yard while ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.

  • Local routes only – home daily
  • Haul scrap metal and containers to/from yard and customer sites
  • Operate roll-off trucks, dump trucks, or tractor-trailer (no lowboy)
  • Ensure loads are properly secured and DOT compliant
  • Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic equipment checks
  • Communicate with dispatch and yard team on pickups and schedules

Requirements:

  • CDL A or B (based on equipment)
  • Clean MVR and current DOT med card
  • Experience with roll-off or dump trucks preferred
  • Ability to handle containers and work in a yard environment
  • Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
