We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Poker Shift Manager to oversee daily poker room operations and ensure an exceptional guest experience. They will assist the VP of Gaming in developing strategies to drive revenue while ensuring compliance with all the Nash Casino and New Hampshire Lottery Commission Gaming requirements.

Location: The Nash Casino - 310 Daniel Webster Highway - Nashua, NH
Hours: Full-time: Open hours (1st shift/swing shift/late-night shift) with the ability for weekends and holiday's required
Job Responsibilities
  • Participates in special projects and special events as needed.
  • Drives culture by consistently demonstrating leadership, maintaining a positive attitude, and BIG Service standards.
  • Provides leadership of the Gaming Department and ensures full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Supervises the effectiveness of the gaming operations and the sports teams daily.
  • Identifies compliance risks and takes necessary action to eliminate or minimize risks.
  • Establishes and administers procedures pertaining to the proper coordination of all operating activities, with the focus on guest service, property training of both technical and operational staff and protection of company assets.
  • Participates in the budgeting, capital expenditure and financial review and reporting process as it relates to the Gaming department.
  • Develops short-and long-range plans for revenue, expense, capital, and promotional services
  • Works with security and surveillance to detect/address any irregularities and responds accordingly.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable gaming laws of the New Hampshire Lottery Commission and company internal controls, policies and procedures, liquor laws, title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply.
  • Ensures all equipment functions properly and effectively and responds accordingly.
  • Research new technology and equipment that can be adopted to improve operations.
  • Prepares the annual and periodic budgets and manages and controls the funds assigned to and derived from the operation.
  • Reports on the end of month statistics, variances to budgeted income and expenditure, equipment and purchases, procedures and policies and staffing to Executive Management.
  • Supports company retention goals by ensuring the compliance of new Team Member attendance at orientation before working a scheduled shift.

Education and Minimum Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age or older with a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must pass all required pre-screening and background checks.
  • Internal candidates must meet the eligibility requirements as provided in the Transfer and Promotion policy.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid New Hampshire gaming license.

Physical/Mental Working Demands
  • Must be able to move in and around the work area throughout the entire workday.
  • Must be able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to engage and interact with all guests appropriately and work well under the pressure of a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to access and interpret information on computer screens.
  • Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted, and can be loud with guest chatter, overhead music, and live entertainment.
  • Requires the ability to distinguish letters or symbols and eye hand coordination.
