Job description

We are seeking an experienced volunteer to assist with a large photo digitization project. This work will help preserve an extensive collection of photographs by converting them into high-quality digital files.

The volunteer will play a key role in scanning, editing, and organizing images so they can be archived and easily accessed in the future. This project requires an individual who has experience digitizing and editing photographs and is comfortable working with scanners and photo editing software.

What You'll Do

  • Scan physical photographs using a Ricoh scanner
  • Edit images (crop, adjust color, correct lighting, minor restoration)
  • Ensure images meet quality and resolution standards
  • Organize and label files according to established naming systems
  • Assist with creating an organized digital archive

Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior experience digitizing photos
  • Experience editing photos using software
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow file organization and naming protocols
  • Comfortable working with large batches of images

Time Commitment

Volunteer should be able to commit to at least a few hours once a week on Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
