Job description

Overview
Employment in this role is conditional upon successful execution of the contract by the client.
The Work
The Programmer/Web Developer III is responsible for developing custom solutions and making modifications/enhancements to applications to meet emerging program needs and improve the efficiency of existing processes. This role will work closely with program offices, subject matter experts and end users to gather, organize, and document project requirements throughout the development process. This position will actively engage with SharePoint Administrator(s) to provide technical support for SharePoint based custom applications, to include building workflows and automating processes.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing software development projects, from design to implementation.
  • Collaborate with functional units/programs to gather requirements and validate processes throughout the project design and development phases.
  • Configure, integrate, test, implement, and validate new features and applications based on documented project requirements.
  • Collaborate with Programmer team members on standard builds, custom solutions, quality assurance, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with Senior Programmer(s)/Project Lead(s) to conceptualize, design, and develop advanced UI widgets and JavaScript modules.
  • Build workflows and custom solutions using PowerApps and Power Automate/Flow.
  • Create SOPs/user guides, and provide technical training as needed.
  • Leverage the integration of Microsoft 365 applications (to include Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, etc.) with SharePoint to increase efficiency and develop new processes.
  • Assist with development of database infrastructure and other content management systems.
  • Make recommendations for custom solutions or system enhancements.
  • Analyzes application usage information and collaborates with Senior Programmer(s)/Project Lead(s) to suggest deliverable improvements based on code performance and user feedback.
  • Mentors team members and performs quality assurance reviews on team members' work.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a high school diploma, bachelor's degree preferred or relevant certifications.
  • Experience working in an enterprise collaborative environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online and Power Platform Applications.
  • Advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS, including audio & video elements and SVG.
  • Demonstrated experience and familiarity with CSV, XML, and JSON.
  • Experience with advanced database interactions (MS Access, SQL, etc.).
  • Proficient in procedural and object-oriented JavaScript, including ES6 features & syntax, custom classes, OOP inheritance and asynchronous data calls.
  • Advanced understanding of APIs and development tools/techniques and programming libraries to retrieve data (i.e., jQuery, Ajax, Axios, React). Demonstrated experience working with RESTful APIs, regular expressions, and other third-party libraries/frameworks.
  • Secret Clearnce is required.
  • Due to the nature of work at the client's site, U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

Working Conditions
  • Professional office environment, with the ability to work onsite in the main office.
