Responsibilities

  • Become a subject matter expert in UWM’s applications, automated testing tools and testing/defect management
  • Design, build and manage automated test frameworks and scripts
  • Actively participate in UWM’s Agile culture and framework (i.e., Continuous Improvement Culture, Scrum and Kanban Frameworks)
  • Carry out functional and non-functional testing, including web accessibility, product app security, server-side load and performance, and client-side page speed
  • Review results of automated tests and taking appropriate action (i.e., file defects, updating test code/data/configuration, etc.)
  • Ensure that any areas not covered by automated tests are validated via alternate mechanisms
  • Improve product and code testability by influencing design at the architecture phase
  • Collaborate with other functions, including product management, product development and designers
  • Plan, define and execute test strategies in a multi-screen, multi-platform web application environment, and ensuring they are released to production with high quality
  • Communicate and collaborate within your team and the IT team as a whole

Qualifications

Required:

  • 7+ years of experience in software testing
  • Strong coding skills, in one or more programming languages such as C# and/or Python
  • Experience with implementing Performance and API automation
  • Experience defining test strategy in collaboration with business stakeholders
  • Experienced with Thunder client. RestSharp, K6 and/or JMeter
  • Experience with Integration and Mutation Testing
  • Proficiency with relational databases
  • Experience with non-functional testing
  • Highly collaborative mindset and a good team player
  • Ability to communicate complex technical issues and solutions in a clear, simple and understandable way
  • Onsite, full-time attendance
  • Computer-related degree or equivalent experience

Preferred:

  • Extensive experience in Python
  • Proficiency in baseline testing
  • Expertise in Dynatrace, Splunk or any monitoring
  • Mobile automation tools such as XCTest, Espresso and Applitools
  • Mortgage knowledge or experience
