Job Summary:
This Warehouse (Second Shift 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm) position receives, stores, and distributes food service products within a multi-temperature warehouse, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.
Essential Functions:
• Receives and verifies inbound vendor orders from company purchase orders.
• Moves materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to a predetermined sequence: size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Develops inventory product knowledge.
• Ensures the warehouse is accessible and safe for staff and customer traffic.
• Marks materials with identifying information using appropriate methods.
Required Education and Experience:
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience
• At least one year of previous experience in warehouse environments.
• Ability to work in an ambient and refrigerated environment, which can range from ninety to zero degrees
• Working knowledge of warehouse processes.
• Prior warehouse experience, preferably in a food distribution environment.
• Reach truck experience
• Forklift experience preferred
• Strong attendance record
Physical Requirements:
• Able to work in an office environment and lift up to 75 pounds.
