Job description

Position: Senior Leader, Interactive Entertainment & Content Innovation (California Only)

Roku is seeking a senior leader to help shape the next generation of entertainment experiences on the Roku platform. In this role, you will lead a cross‑functional incubation team responsible for imagining, prototyping, launching, and scaling original platform‑native entertainment experiences that engage and delight millions of consumers.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Roku’s interactive entertainment and content innovation efforts across concept development, incubation, launch, and scale‑up of platform‑native experiences.
  • Define a clear vision for new entertainment formats that combine storytelling, interactivity, technology, and audience engagement.
  • Build and guide a repeatable development pipeline for original experiences, aiming to deliver multiple launches annually.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with teams across content, product, engineering, design, marketing, partnerships, and advertising to bring new concepts to market.
  • Create culturally relevant experiences tied to major moments and events such as CES, Cannes, Roku Live, and Upfronts.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities that increase consumer engagement, strengthen brand affinity, and differentiate the Roku platform.
  • Shape sponsorship and monetization opportunities that can attract premium advertising and brand partners.
  • Establish and grow Roku’s internal innovation studio capabilities for interactive entertainment experiences.
  • Guide teams through ambiguity with clear decision‑making, strong collaboration, and a test‑and‑learn mindset.
  • Balance creative experimentation with disciplined execution, measurable outcomes, and scalable operating models.
Qualifications
  • Experience building original interactive entertainment experiences for broad consumer audiences.
  • Track record of launching new consumer‑facing experiences from concept through execution.
  • Experience at the intersection of content, gaming, technology, and consumer products.
  • Strong creative instincts and the ability to identify culturally relevant ideas.
  • Success leading highly cross‑functional teams, including through influence rather than direct authority.
  • Experience building zero‑to‑one initiatives within large organizations or high‑growth environments.
  • Familiarity with platform‑based entertainment, interactive media, gaming, transmedia, immersive media, or live consumer experiences.
  • Ability to balance experimentation with strong operational follow‑through.
  • Excellent communication skills and an inclusive leadership approach.
  • Sound judgment, curiosity, and comfort navigating evolving business and audience needs.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary (estimated $280,000 – $350,000 annually for California residents plus additional equity).
  • Comprehensive benefits including health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.
  • Global access to mental health and financial wellness support and resources.
  • Local statutory and voluntary benefits such as medical, dental, vision, commuter, and retirement options (401(k)/pension).

Roku welcomes applicants of all backgrounds and provides reasonable accommodations and adjustments in accordance with applicable law.
