Job description

Let's Feed NY is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit building permanent food access infrastructure across New York City and Long Island. We partner with Island Harvest, City Harvest, and Amazon to serve hundreds of families through weekly food distributions and at-home grocery deliveries.

We need 1 Volunteer & Scheduling Coordinator to own our entire volunteer operations pipeline. This is a behind-the-scenes leadership role — you are the person who makes sure every distribution is fully staffed and running on time.

What you'll do: Build and manage weekly volunteer schedules across all distribution sites. Assign volunteers to roles and locations based on availability and skills. Confirm attendance before each distribution and fill gaps quickly. Onboard new volunteers — welcome calls, orientation, role matching. Track volunteer hours and maintain accurate records. Communicate directly with Site Leads and the founder to ensure coverage.

Who you are: Extremely organized and detail-oriented. Comfortable managing schedules and coordinating multiple people. Strong communicator over email, text, and phone. Experience in admin, HR, scheduling, or coordination is a plus. 18 or older. This role is primarily remote with occasional on-site presence.

Commitment: Ongoing, 8-15 hours per week. Flexible schedule — most work can be done remotely on your own time.

What you get: Senior operations role at a fast-growing nonprofit. Official title and letter of recommendation. Direct line to the founder. First consideration for paid Operations role as we scale.
