The Opportunity

  • This position offers a unique opportunity to help build a dynamic K-8 Performing Arts programalongside an accomplished Drama Teacher. We are looking for an educator whose strengths may includemusic, technical theatre, production, choreography, stagecraft, vocal performance, or contemporaryperformance experiences.
  • Beyond performance itself, we believe the arts play a powerful role in helping students developconfidence, creativity, collaboration, and communication skills. Through classroom experiences andpublic performances, students learn not only how to perform, but how to present ideas, speak with confidence, and engage audiences.
  • The successful candidate will bring expertise, imagination, and a willingness to create new opportunitiesfor students while helping us continue to expand a vibrant culture of performance across our campus.

Responsibilities

  • Teach engaging K-8 performing arts classes that inspire creativity, confidence, and self-expression.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop performances, productions, showcases, and specialevents.
  • Help students develop strong communication and presentation skills through performance,voice, movement, and public speaking.
  • Contribute to the technical and production elements that bring performances to life.
  • Help shape and expand performing arts opportunities based on student interests and talents.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $64k-$69k based on credentials and experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Primarily an office/classroom position.May require significant degree of intermittent walking, bending, stooping, reaching,and stretching.May require lifting of up to 20 lbs.
