Sample Management / Laboratory Support Technician

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring for a leading life sciences organization known for supporting laboratory research, testing, and sample management operations in Covington, KY.

Position Details

Location: Covington, KY

Pay: Up to 18.6/hr
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday | 4:00 PM–12:30 AM
Shift: Second Shift
Interview: Phone interview with the hiring manager
Experience: 0–1 year preferred

Position Overview

The Sample Management / Laboratory Support Technician will support day-to-day laboratory operations by handling samples, maintaining inventory records, and completing administrative and tracking activities within the Sample Management department.

This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in a laboratory or life sciences environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, comfortable working with documentation, and able to follow established SOPs with limited direct supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine sample and inventory management activities, including receiving, checking in, logging, labeling, tracking, transporting, and checking out samples.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation in accordance with established SOPs.

  • Provide administrative support to the Sample Coordinator and Sample Management team.

  • Communicate task status and any issues to supervisors and appropriate laboratory personnel.

  • Follow SOPs, client procedures, regulatory guidelines, and sample storage requirements.

  • Support appropriate storage and handling of laboratory samples and materials.

  • Assist with responses to environmental unit alarms and participate in on-call responsibilities as needed.

  • Complete daily assignments accurately, timely, and safely.

  • Work collaboratively with laboratory staff to fulfill sample and material requests.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Technical or vocational certification may be preferred for certain assignments.

  • Approximately 0–1 year of relevant experience preferred; equivalent education, training, or experience may be considered.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate tracking and documentation.

  • Good time-management and organizational skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and work effectively in a team environment.

Pay Details: $17.00 to $18.60 per hour
