Job description

We are hiring an Entry Level Community Relations Assistant to join our growing outreach and event marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in community engagement, public relations, event coordination, customer communications, and nonprofit outreach.

No prior experience is required. We provide paid training, ongoing mentorship, and clear opportunities for career growth.

As a Community Relations Assistant, you will help support local outreach campaigns, community events, and public engagement initiatives while building strong relationships within the community. If you are outgoing, organized, people-focused, and passionate about making a positive impact, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with planning and coordinating community outreach events, promotional campaigns, and local initiatives
  • Represent the organization at community events, retail promotions, and public engagement activities
  • Engage directly with community members to promote programs, services, and upcoming events
  • Support event setup, registration, logistics, and on-site coordination
  • Distribute promotional materials and provide information to event attendees
  • Respond to questions and provide exceptional customer service during outreach activities
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure successful event execution
  • Maintain records of community participation, outreach efforts, and event feedback
  • Help strengthen brand awareness and positive community relationships

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Comfortable interacting with the public in fast-paced environments
  • Interest in community outreach, public relations, communications, marketing, or event planning
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field is a plus but not required
  • Previous customer service, volunteer, retail, hospitality, or event experience is helpful but not required
