Federation Manager
The Opportunity:
Your combination of people skills and system administrator expertise makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. What if you could use those skills to improve the technology supporting a Regional Simulation Center (RSC) and execution of simulation-driven Command Post Exercises. We're looking for a system administrator who specializes in collective training with a background in Live, Virtual, Constructive simulation integration and mission command stimulation to help us support U.S. Army large scale combat operations (LSCO) in a multi-domain environment.
As a system administrator on our project, you'll ensure the simulation architecture and systems are functional and available during exercises, update and patch critical systems, and constantly look for ways to make the simulation architecture better using the latest technology and the best implementation strategies. You'll provide your customers with insight into their exercise design through monitoring and performance management.
Your system administrator expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical simulation infrastructure. You'll help your team better understand the simulation systems by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning.
This is an opportunity to broaden your skill set into areas like Federation Management and Tech Forward support utilizing U.S. Army Program of Record simulation systems and tools such as the Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) and JLCCTC's replacement Next Gen Constructive (NGC). We focus on growing as a team, so you'll share your expertise through leadership and mentoring as you help the team work through challenges and develop new methodologies. As a system administrator leader, you'll identify new opportunities to modernize our technical support, so your clients achieve their training objectives. Work with us and resolve daily challenges as we improve warfighter driven command post exercises.
Join us. The world can't wait.
You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Federation Manager in JLCCTC technical and operational competencies
  • Knowledge of the virtual machine environment
  • Ability to interpret simulation exercise plans to install and configure hardware or software in a TCP/IP network environment with systems running Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Ability to manage a team, resource personnel, and prioritize efforts
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity
  • Security+ Certification

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience in program or project management
  • Experience in network configuration and network management
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Operating Environment Certification

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
