Job description

Hi, we're CompanyCam.
We're a simple-to-use photo documentation and productivity app for contractors of all commercial and home services industries. Packed with intuitive functionality, CompanyCam facilitates unparalleled communication and accountability across a contractor's entire business. We're committed to providing a consumer-grade, game-changing experience that helps our users build trust within their company and with their customers.
But don't let that corporate description fool you-the people behind our buttoned-up product are laid-back (but hardworking), genuine, and kickass, and you could be one of them!
The Role
At CompanyCam, the Creative Director shapes the vision, execution, and evolution of creative strategies that drive business growth, strengthen customer connections, and elevate our brand. Reporting to the Director of Creative, you'll lead multidisciplinary creative teams across design, video, web, and copy while partnering closely with Marketing, Product, Sales, and other business leaders to bring bold ideas to life.
This role is equal parts strategist, creative leader, and collaborator. You'll connect business goals with creative execution, ensuring every campaign, asset, and customer touchpoint contributes to a cohesive brand story and measurable business impact.
Location: Remote - Candidates must permanently and currently reside in the United States.
What You'll Do
  • Develop creative strategies that align with business objectives, customer needs, and brand positioning
  • Coach, mentor, and provide feedback to creative team members while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture
  • Partner cross-functionally to develop integrated campaigns and solve business challenges through creative thinking
  • Contribute hands-on creative work in your area of expertise when needed on high-impact initiatives
  • Oversee project prioritization, timelines, resources, and creative quality across multiple initiatives
  • Present creative concepts and rationale to stakeholders, building alignment and confidence in the work
  • Analyze campaign performance and customer insights to optimize creative effectiveness and inform future strategies
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and creative best practices to continually evolve the team's capabilities
The Impact You'll Have
At CompanyCam, your work makes a real impact. Whether you're writing code, supporting customers, or designing experiences, your contributions directly shape the product we deliver and the people we serve. We're building something that helps real people solve real problems-and we believe that kind of work is best done by a team that reflects the world around us. In this role, you'll drive impact by:
  • Lead creative strategy that strengthens the CompanyCam brand and supports business growth
  • Inspire and develop multidisciplinary creative teams while raising the quality and impact of their work
  • Partner with leaders across Marketing, Product, Sales, and Operations to turn business goals into compelling creative campaigns
  • Ensure every customer touchpoint delivers a cohesive, engaging, and memorable brand experience
  • Use data, customer insights, and experimentation to continuously improve creative performance and business outcomes
What You'll Bring
  • 7+ years of experience in creative, brand, or marketing roles, including 2+ years leading creative teams
  • Proven success developing high-impact creative campaigns across digital, web, video, and brand experiences
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative excellence, strategic thinking, and measurable business impact
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary creative teams while coaching and developing talent
  • Ability to translate business goals into compelling creative strategies that resonate with customers
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization
  • Strong project management skills with experience balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Data-informed mindset with experience using performance insights to optimize creative work
  • High standards for creative quality, storytelling, and brand consistency
  • Collaborative, curious, and adaptable leader who thrives in ambiguity and continuously seeks better ways to create exceptional work
  • A continuous growth-mindset, with a focus on learning, embracing challenges, and continuously improving.
  • A knack for creativity and innovation, bringing fresh ideas to the table and solving complex problems.
Benefits & Compensation
This is a salaried position at CompanyCam. Our starting salary range is $80,000-$92,000 per year and is based on experience. We also offer meaningful equity and other benefits.
