Rush University System for Health, a national leader in outstanding patient care, education, research, community partnerships and empowering a new generation of health care providers, invites applications for the position of Urology Oncologist in the Department of Urology, with RUSH MD Anderson Cancer Center at Rush University Medical Center, 15%, Rush Copley Medical Center, 60% and Rush MD Anderson Cancer Center, Lisle, 25%.

Rush University System for Health and The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center have partnered to create RUSHMD Anderson Cancer Center. The partnership represents advanced clinical and operational integration in the delivery of cancer care, providing Rush patients with greater access to cancer treatments and research considered among the best in the world.

Department/Division specifics:

  • Rush urologists make quality of life our top priority, with compassionate care for both the physical and emotional challenges of urinary, reproductive and sexual conditions. From the management of general urologic conditions to the most advanced urologic cancer care, Rush urologists collaborate with multidisciplinary providers throughout the Rush system and our robust network of external referral sources to offer personalized treatment as a destination for the latest in innovative care.

  • Many urologists at Rush are experts in minimally invasive surgical techniques - including advanced laparoscopic and robotic procedures - and participate in clinical trials looking into new treatments for urologic disorders.

  • The department currently has 13 Urologists and 5 Advanced Practice Providers

  • Rush University Medical Center has earned national recognition in the latest U.S. News & World Report "Best Hospitals" issue, ranking #22 of all urology programs surveyed nationwide

  • Collaborate with Urologists, Oncology, Radiology, and research to provide personalized treatment to our patients

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Inpatient clinical care at Rush University Medical Center downtown campus and Outpatient clinic hours in Lisle and Oak Lawn, Illinois.

  • Patients will include surgical urology patients with an emphasis on the care of prostate cancer patients

  • Perform advanced minimally invasive and robotic procedures using state-of-the art technology (with both DaVinci XI and SP)

  • Commitment to the education of medical students, residents, and fellows

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate MD or DO degree

  • Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine and/or eligible for medical licensure in Illinois

  • Candidates must be board-certified or eligible in Urology and be fellowship-trained in Urologic Oncology.

  • Applicants with training and experience in laparoscopy and robotic surgery will receive priority consideration.

Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, knowledge and skills; relevant experience and training; education, certifications, and licensure; primary work location; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that maybe applicable to this role, as well as additional compensation such as sign-on and retention bonuses and relocation allowances. Opportunities for increased compensation based on exceeding productivity targets. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.

Pay Range: $441,000- $584,000
