Mpowerd is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering single mothers by providing resources, support, and community. In support of our mental wellness pillar, we are launching a mental wellness initiative that offers professional therapy/counseling resources and monthly in-person activities to help single moms manage stress and build resilience. The program is based in Cobb County, GA and will run from October 2025 through August 2026.

Weโ€™re looking for a Volunteer Program Manager with 1โ€“3 years of program management experience to help us run and grow this mental wellness initiative. This role is perfect for someone whoโ€™s passionate about single moms or mental health, comfortable taking the lead, and ready to dedicate about 10 hours a month to making a difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support the operations of the mental wellness initiative, ensuring smooth execution of activities and events.
  • Guide the volunteer team in coordinating monthly activities with program partners
  • Maintain program documentation and track volunteer involvement using tools like Microsoft Word.
  • Work collaboratively with the leadership team to identify and implement improvements for program effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • 1โ€“3 years of experience in program management or a related field.
  • Experience or strong interest in supporting single moms and/or mental health wellness.
