Hourly Pay Range: $29 - $33 USD

Shift: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm

Job Summary

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for inspecting large-format digital prints to ensure they meet job specifications and company quality standards. This role focuses on verifying color accuracy, finished size, panel alignment and matching, correct substrate usage, and confirming that production instructions were followed before work is released for shipping or installation.

What You'll Do...

  • Inspect large-format digital prints at various production stages to ensure compliance with job tickets, proofs, customer specifications, and internal quality standards.
  • Verify color accuracy and consistency against approved proofs, reference files, or established production standards.
  • Measure finished prints to confirm correct size, scale, bleed, and placement according to production requirements.
  • Check multi-panel graphics for proper sequencing, alignment, image continuity, and panel-to-panel color matching.
  • Confirm that the correct substrate, material type, and print media were used for each job.
  • Review work orders and production instructions to ensure all finishing, packaging, labeling, and special handling requirements were followed.
  • Identify and communicate print defects, specification mismatches, or non-conformances to production and management teams for correction.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What You'll Bring...

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in quality control, digital printing, large-format printing, signage, or a related production environment is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of large-format digital print quality standards, including color consistency, size accuracy, panel matching, and substrate verification.
  • Ability to read and interpret job tickets, proofs, production instructions, and customer specifications.
  • Proficiency with measuring tools and basic inspection methods used to verify print dimensions and production accuracy.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to identify defects before jobs move to the next stage of production.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with print operators, finishing teams, and supervisors to resolve quality issues.
