Job description

We are seeking an experienced EDI Manager to lead our Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and DSCSA technical teams.

Who are we:

With over 30 years of experience, we are a Fast 55 award-winning, industry-leading pharmaceutical distributor specializing in generic prescription medications. Headquartered in Cincinnati, OH, with offices in Niagara Falls, NY, and Fort Lauderdale, FL, we provide dedicated, one-on-one service to thousands of independent pharmacies, long-term care organizations, specialty pharmacies, and health systems across the U.S. Our culture is one that believes we are better together.

We are proud to be named to the Pharmacy 500 and the Cincinnati Business Courier's Top 100 Private Companies. We are also honored as the 2022 Free Clinic Community Partner of the year, alongside our partners at St. Vincent de Paul Charitable Pharmacy.

Role Overview:

At KeySource, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of vital supply chain and compliance processes. This role offers the opportunity to combine technical expertise, leadership, and innovation while contributing to the success of a growing organization. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of all inbound and outbound EDI transactions with manufacturers, customers, and trading partners, as well as the technical operations supporting DSCSA serialization data exchange.

This is a hands-on technical leadership position requiring direct involvement in EDI mapping, transaction troubleshooting, trading partner onboarding, data integration, and SQL analysis. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment where workarounds, manual processes, and evolving business requirements are part of daily operations. Success in this role requires a willingness to not only support current systems but also help design and build the next generation of tools, processes, and integrations that will support KeySource's continued growth.

What You'll Get:

  • Competitive base pay + quarterly bonus
  • Medical, Vision, & Dental Insurance
  • 401(k) + Company Match
  • Healthcare Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
  • Voluntary Pet & Legal Insurance
  • Company-paid Short-Term & Long-Term Disability Insurance
  • Company-paid Basic Life and AD&D insurance, with options to purchase Supplemental coverage
  • Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays
  • Company-paid Employee Assistance Programs (EAP)

What you'll need:

  • Experience Managing a technical team 5 years overall
  • Experience with EDI 1-2 years
  • Demonstrated hands-on technical proficiency in EDI — with direct work in maps, transactions, and SQL
  • Experience administering EDI translator platforms and managing AS2 and SFTP communications
  • Working knowledge of SQL (Microsoft SQL Server preferred) — ability to write and troubleshoot queries independently
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, and ability to drive issues to resolution across internal teams and external trading partners
  • Pharmaceutical distribution industry experience
  • Experience with Liaison ECS / Delta
  • Strong working knowledge of common EDI transaction sets used in distribution
  • Experience with trading partner onboarding
  • DSCSA / EPCIS / serialization experience
  • CSOS administration experience
  • Associates degree or equivalent work experience

What You'll Do:

  • Managing team, and lead end-to-end EDI operations across all transaction sets supporting other departments
  • Administer and maintain the EDI translator platform (Liaison ECS/Delta), including map development, version control, environment management, and routine upgrades
  • Manage EDI communications infrastructure including AS2, SFTP, and VAN connections; ensure secure, reliable, and monitored data exchange with all trading partners
  • Lead trading partner onboarding from initial requirements through specification review, mapping, testing, certification, and go-live, with structured project management and clear milestones
  • Maintain and continuously improve EDI monitoring, alerting, and exception-handling processes to detect and resolve failed or stalled transactions
  • Triage and resolve EDI errors and transaction disputes end-to-end, working across trading partners, internal IT, and other departments
  • Maintain documentation of EDI processes & drive EDI continuous improvement initiatives — automation, error reduction, scalability, and reduction of manual touches across order-to-cash and procure-to-pay flows
  • Partner with the business on new customer/supplier integrations, ERP/WMS changes, and process changes that impact EDI
  • Manage CSOS technical operations and ensure ongoing compliance
  • Oversee day-to-day DSCSA technical operations, including serialization data exchange (EPCIS) with manufacturers and customers

Location:

  • Cincinnati, OH
