They assist in managing, analyzing, and reporting clinical data to help ensure the accuracy and integrity of study results. Their work may include data cleaning, creating tables and listings, and generating statistical outputs. This role is vital in supporting research teams, especially in resource-limited settings or non-profit organizations. To thrive as a Volunteer Pharmaceutical SAS Programmer, you need a solid understanding of statistical programming, data analysis, and relevant pharmaceutical regulations, typically supported by a degree in statistics, computer science, or a related field. Proficiency with SAS software, CDISC standards (such as SDTM and ADaM), and clinical trial data management systems is crucial. Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills help in accurately interpreting data and collaborating with clinical teams.
