Job description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Junior Data Analyst to support enterprise data quality, analytics operations, and data pipeline governance efforts.

This role will partner closely with Data Engineers, BI Developers, Data Scientists,

and business stakeholders to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and scalability

of critical data assets across the organization. The ideal candidate combines

strong analytical capabilities with a passion for documentation, testing, and

continuous improvement.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges,

improving data quality, and working across technical teams in a rapidly

evolving analytics environment.

Key Responsibilities

Data Pipeline Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Conduct QA testing of ETL processes and enterprise data pipelines
  • Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency
  • Monitor pipeline performance and identify data degradation issues
  • Investigate and troubleshoot data quality concerns
  • Support root cause analysis and process improvement activities

Documentation & Knowledge Management

  • Create and maintain documentation for data workflows, pipeline logic, and analytics processes
  • Assist in building scalable knowledge repositories, wikis, and technical documentation
  • Document data lineage, business rules, and dashboard dependencies
  • Support team efforts to improve transparency and operational efficiency

Analytics & Business Intelligence Support

  • Partner with BI Developers and stakeholders to validate dashboards and reporting outputs
  • Support reporting initiatives across Tableau, Power BI, and related platforms
  • Help ensure reporting solutions align with business requirements and data standards

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and business teams to understand data requirements
  • Participate in troubleshooting sessions and analytics reviews
  • Support enterprise initiatives focused on data modernization and governance

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Experience working with SQL and data analysis
  • Understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline concepts
  • Experience validating and troubleshooting data workflows
  • Exposure to SSIS or similar ETL technologies
  • Experience supporting business intelligence or reporting environments
  • Familiarity with Python for data analysis and automation

Professional Experience

  • Experience documenting technical workflows, data processes, or analytics systems
  • Ability to identify and resolve data quality issues
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred
  • Equivalent professional experience will also be considered

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
