Description
Acts as primary staff liaison to alumni, and all other constituencies to provide support for Alumni Affairs initiatives, programs and events. Ensures timely processing of gifts received from donors are received in advancement services. Reports to the Director of Alumni Relations & Annual Giving.

Summary:
Acts as primary staff liaison to alumni, and all other constituencies to provide support for Alumni Affairs initiatives, programs and events. Ensures timely processing of gifts received from donors are received in advancement services. Reports to the Director of Alumni Relations & Annual Giving.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for coordinating all aspects of the office of alumni affairs.
• Responsible for proficient use of Banner Finance system to create requisitions and approve department budget items.
• Works closely and cooperatively with campus departments to ensure excellent customer service is given to all constituents.
• Coordinates cultivation and stewardship events including but not limited to: Class Reunions and Founder's day as well as a variety of special events in recognition of milestones which may include donor cultivation or stewardship components.
• Assists with special event ceremonies.
• Acts as staff liaison for all alumni programs, events and meetings.
• Assists, plans, coordinates and oversees each event.
• Identifies alumni interested in giving back to the University through engagement with the alumni groups by cultivating relationships with targeted alumni that will result in an initial financial contribution to the University and/or referring major gift prospects to the development office.
• Responsible for coordinating all alumni volunteers & graduate assistants.
• Work with the Alumni Association on new and renewal membership which includes alumni chapter reporting, alumni membership paraphernalia that goes with membership. Responsible for ensuring Alumni Association database is up to date.
• Ensure updated alumni data is sent to advancement services Research/Applications Specialist on a continuous basis.
• Maintain office of alumni affairs webpage.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Typical Qualifications
Minimum Position Requirements (including certifications, licenses, etc.):
• Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Public Relations, Marketing, or closely related field.
• Two (2) years of previous experience with event planning and coordinating
