Job description

Deliver technical training to customers and TRUMPF employees on TRUMPF machines, including product operation, maintenance, programming, and best practices. Conduct both standardized training courses at the Farmington Training Center or virtually, as well as customized training sessions at customer locations. During the first 1-2 years in this role, the primary focus will be on developing and enhancing training curricula, course materials, and instructional content before transitioning into a full-time Training Instructor role with a primary focus on course instruction.

  • Develop curriculae for new courses including writing course documentation (focus on Smart Factory topics).

  • Leverage internal network to create courses that meet customer needs.

  • Present training classes to TRUMPF personnel and customers on the applicable product line(s).

  • Evaluate existing training procedures and manuals and review with Training Supervisor.

  • Implement improvements tomeet customer demand and to achieve highest customer satisfaction.

  • Regularly review and update curriculae in response to customer feedback or changes in technology.

  • Support the implementation of Training 4.0 strategies (i.e. virtual class rooms, smart factory topics).

  • Travel to customer locations and/or other TRUMPF facilities in the US and abroad for training or research needs (up to 25% travel).

  • Provide evaluations of TRUMPF Service Engineers while in training.

  • Participate in projects, Continuous Improvement and SYNCHRO activities.

Experience

An in-depth technical background is required, preferably on TRUMPF or other CNC sheet metal machine tool products. Experience with automation and smart factory topics a plus. Additionally, training and field service experience is strongly preferred. Must have strong oral and written communication skills as well as strong PC skills (OS, networking, Office).

Education

2-year technical school degree in Engineering or suitable equivalent of education / work experience.
