About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Closer Manager to lead, develop, and support our Closing Team. The Closer Manager will be responsible for driving sales performance, coaching and developing closers, supporting complex customer opportunities, and ensuring the team consistently meets company sales, quality, and compliance standards.
This role is ideal for a strong sales leader who understands the solar industry, excels at coaching high-performing teams, and can balance revenue growth with customer experience and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and motivate the Closing Team to achieve and exceed monthly sales goals.
  • Monitor individual and team sales performance, conversion rates, pipeline activity, and other key performance indicators.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to closers.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings, one-on-one coaching sessions, and performance reviews.
  • Assist closers with challenging, complex, or high-value customer opportunities.
  • Support the team in overcoming objections and improving closing techniques.
  • Review sales proposals, agreements, and customer documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure closers follow established sales processes, pricing guidelines, and company policies.
  • Partner with Setter Managers and other sales leaders to ensure a strong and consistent sales pipeline.
  • Identify performance gaps and develop action plans to improve individual and team results.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new closers.
  • Share best practices, sales strategies, market insights, and competitive information with the team.
  • Work closely with Operations, Installation, Finance, and other departments to help ensure a smooth customer experience from sale through project completion.
  • Help resolve customer or sales-related issues and escalate concerns when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and ensure timely updates to CRM and other company systems.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all sales activities are conducted ethically and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the solar, home improvement, roofing, construction, or related industry.
  • Previous experience managing, supervising, or coaching a sales team preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Strong understanding of the sales cycle, lead management, presentations, negotiations, and closing techniques.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to analyze sales performance data and use metrics to drive results.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer-service mindset and professional communication skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, and other sales technology.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel locally or attend customer and team meetings as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Solar sales or residential construction experience.
  • Experience managing a high-volume sales organization.
  • Experience training and developing commission-based sales representatives.
  • Knowledge of solar financing, project qualification, permitting, and installation processes.
  • Established leadership experience with a proven track record of building successful sales teams.
