Tableau Developer
12+ month contract (W2 ONLY, NO C-C)
Plano, TX (Hybrid)
Must have requirements:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience building, optimizing, and maintaining dashboards in Tableau
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience querying data using SQL
Minimum 1 year of LOD expressions and Embedded Tableau development
Responsibilities:
  • The Tableau consultant will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of visual analysis tools, dashboards and reports used by Toyota marketing stakeholders, primarily in Tableau with deep collaboration with back-end data engineers
  • Responsible for end-to-end development and ability to create complex calculations including LOD expressions, action filters, user filters and implement advanced dashboard practices in Tableau
  • Regularly demonstrate and implement the numerous capabilities of Tableau, such as multi-source dashboards, data blending, table calculations, advanced calculated fields, customized visuals, user attribute functions, etc.
  • Identify data quality issues and support overall data governance by IT Cx team
  • Support ad-hoc analytics needs by delivering analytics solutions and assisting in interpretation of data
  • Assist in ad-hoc troubleshooting of underlying data ecosystem and perform Root Cause Analysis for errors or bugs in dashboards and reports
  • Communicate project status, risks, dependencies and roadblocks for technical audiences and business stakeholders in a timely and organized manner
  • Identify opportunities to increase efficiency of underlying data sources by optimizing SQL, utilizing blending in Tableau, etc

Requirements:
  • Bachelor s degree in business, Marketing, Mathematics, Computer Science or Statistics, with significant quantitative course work is required
  • 5 + years of strong experience in building data visualizations using Tableau
  • 5 + years of strong experience using relational databases and writing custom SQL queries
  • Intermediate level experience in data analysis and reporting
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience working in large data ecosystems that are always evolving to include more sources and dependencies
  • Strong communications skills with the ability liaison between technical and non-technical teams
  • Intermediate experience with Alteryx
  • Advanced experience with querying data example: SQL server
  • Experience with Embedded Analytics via Tableau
  • Experience with implementing Row Level Security within Tableau
