Mission
The Kenaitze Indian Tribe is committed to providing an unparalleled level of service and support to the Kahtnuht'ana Dena'ina Community. To achieve this goal, the tribe seeks to recruit and maintain a volunteer pool of dynamic and dedicated community members who are willing to devote their time to assist the tribe in providing exemplary services.
Education Opportunities
The Kenaitze Indian Tribe currently offers volunteer placement in the following programs:
The Early Learning Program
Welcomes volunteers to assist in the classroom with reading, playing, art projects, outside gross motor and more. Volunteers provide an important role in supporting the staff by providing a comprehensive, fun, and interactive learning environment.
Early Childhood Center
The Early Childhood Center welcomes volunteers and practicum students to provide assistance in the classrooms with reading, playing, art projects, and more. Volunteers take an important role in assisting the staff with providing a fun and interactive learning environment.
Yaghanen K-12 Program
Volunteers are vital in providing services and camps to community youth. There are many opportunities for volunteer assistance with day camps, overnight camps, Native Youth Olympics, daily programs, and much more.
The Community Education Program
Volunteers would have the opportunity to provide assistance to staff mentoring and supporting youth interns with employability skills such as resume writing, filling out applications, and mock interviews. There are also opportunities for volunteers to assist staff who support youth in the K-12 After School programming.
Volunteer Requirements
