Position Title: Community Health Support - Volunteer / Intern / Per Diem Staff


Department: Outreach & Education


Reports To: Outreach & Education Coordinator


Locations: Modular Sites, Community Events, Monarch Clinics


About Monarch Health Services:


Monarch Health Services is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving health outcomes
through preventive care, education, and outreach particularly in underserved communities
across Palm Beach County.


Position Summary:


This role supports our Check Your Health Campaign by conducting health screenings,
promoting wellness education, and assisting with outreach events. Volunteers, interns, and per
diem staff will play a vital role in delivering preventive services for metabolic syndrome, nutrition,
and STDs.


Key Responsibilities:


Not all participants will be expected to perform every responsibility listed. Tasks will be assigned
based on training, qualifications, and interest.


Conduct basic health screenings (blood pressure, BMI, glucose, temperature, etc.)
Support metabolic and nutrition checks and wellness screenings
Perform rapid HIV and Hepatitis C testing (if certified/trained)
Provide education and distribute resources on metabolic syndrome and STD prevention
Assist with setup and breakdown of events and health booths
Register clients and manage intake processes
Engage residents and support public participation at community events
Distribute flyers, giveaways, and educational materials
Assist with data collection, surveys, and follow-up coordination
