Data Analytics Consultant - Health Remote Public Trust (must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust suitability determination) Blu Omega is seeking a Data Analytics Consultant - Health to support a federal program focused on Medicare policy, payment models, and population health analytics. This role operates within a remote environment and is responsible for analyzing Medicare claims and enrollment data and delivering data-driven insights to inform program decisions. The position requires experience supporting healthcare claims analytics, analytical coding, and policy/payment model support within a mission-driven environment. Program Overview Support federal healthcare initiatives focused on improving healthcare outcomes through data analytics, payment model evaluation, and population health insights. The program leverages Medicare claims and health data to assess performance, inform policy decisions, and support value-based care initiatives. Key Details Location: Remote Clearance: Public Trust (must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust suitability determination) Responsibilities * Analyze Medicare claims, enrollment, and related healthcare data using SQL and statistical programming tools * Develop, validate, and document analytical methodologies, parameters, and data processes * Write efficient, reproducible code using SQL, Python, R, SAS, or similar analytical tools * Support healthcare policy, payment model, and population health analyses * Interpret complex datasets and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders * Create documentation, reports, presentations, and data visualizations that support program objectives * Collaborate with project teams, subject matter experts, and government stakeholders to develop analytical solutions * Contribute to recommendations that support healthcare quality improvement and value-based care initiatives Required Qualifications * Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Public Health, Public Policy, Biostatistics, Data Analytics, or a related field * 4+ years of experience supporting health analytics, healthcare research, consulting, healthcare policy, or related environments * Strong proficiency with SQL and at least one statistical programming language such as Python, R, or SAS * Experience working with healthcare claims and enrollment data within large-scale data warehouse environments * Knowledge of healthcare data structures, patient attribution methodologies, and claims-based analytics * Experience developing analytical methodologies, validating results, and producing technical documentation * Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications * 6+ years of experience supporting healthcare analytics, research, consulting, or policy initiatives * Experience supporting Medicare and Medicaid programs * Familiarity with CMS data environments, including Integrated Data Repository (IDR) and/or Chronic Conditions Warehouse (CCW) * Experience conducting statistical analyses supporting healthcare policy or payment model decisions * Knowledge of value-based care programs and alternative payment models * Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms * Advanced coursework or practical experience in statistics, econometrics, predictive analytics, or health outcomes research Compensation Salary Range: $92,000.00 - $114,000.00 Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
