The Role

AXS is seeking a Sr. Front-End Software Engineer II to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys and thrives in working with a variety of tools, languages, and architectures while building features and applications for our core ticketing systems. You will work on B2B applications that can scale and handle high demand, as well as complex enterprise systems that meet our global needs.

What will you do?

  • Design and build new features and enhancements for our global ticketing platforms
  • Provide technical and design guidance on a day-to-day basis to the development team.
  • Optimize for user experience and performance in scaling out our applications to handle massive spikes in traffic
  • Write up RFCs to present technical approaches prior to implementation of complex features, to AXS's technology community.
  • Work closely with other engineers, architects, business analysts, product and project managers to create innovative solutions that continue to push the boundaries of our business
  • Prepare for and support weekly production releases and have a thorough understanding of AXS's Change Management and Incident Management processes in order to be able to do so.
  • Be readily available to troubleshoot and fix critical production issues when paged during Incidents.
  • Mentor junior developers, provide guidance on technical training and career paths.
  • Perform code reviews, scan code for security vulnerabilities, best practices, code issues, and test code.
  • Work to resolve support requests, process special client requests that are urgent, discuss with other Engineering or Product Staff
  • Develop consistent, well tested code on Open-Source Programming Languages and Frameworks
  • Work with third parties to make a seamless and integrated experience for our customers and fans

Key Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant hands-on coding experience
  • Strong experience with Mico Front Ends and Module Federation
  • Solid experience with Web Technologies, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript
  • Solid technical foundation and experience with building Single Page Applications
  • Experience with development in Open-Source Technologies such as Rect
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD
  • Experience building mobile and responsive UI
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to influence change
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Drives process and tooling improvements at org level
  • Experience leading, developing, and mentoring staff
  • Deep domain expertise, often the go-to engineer in a specific area

Nice to Have

  • Experience with C#, .NET core and its ecosystems
  • Experience with AWS, Terraform, Docker 
  • Experience building large scale high performance transactional systems and platforms
  • Experience with event-driven technologies, e.g. Kafka
  • Experience with TDD and/or BDD
  • Experience using NOSQL databases such as Elasticsearch or AWS DynamoDB
  • Experience in the ticketing industry, inventory management systems or e-commerce

Pay Scale: $119,978.10 - $135,000

Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
