POSITION SUMMARY
Facilitates the development of public trust and confidence in the City.
As a Little Free Library Volunteer, you will be instrumental in keeping our community's literary resources accessible and well-maintained. Your role involves ensuring the libraries are in good condition, restocking them with family-friendly books, and handling minor upkeep tasks. Your contributions will help foster a love of reading and community engagement, making a lasting impact on residents of all ages.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Keeps the mission, vision, and values of the City of Port St. Lucie at the forefront of decision-making and action; builds strategic and collaborative relationships and interacts with others in a way that builds confidence and trust; provides excellent customer service by taking action to accomplish objectives, maintains high levels of work and productivity by generating innovative solutions to work situations.
  • Conducts bi-weekly inspections of the assigned little library location to assess its condition.
  • Monitors and restocks the inventory of books and materials.
  • Handles minor cleaning and repairs of the assigned little library.
  • Documents and reports any significant issues or repairs needed to the Communications department for further action.
  • Responds to maintenance reports from the community.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.
