Job Summary

Langan is seeking a Senior Environmental Data Analyst to join its Data Management & Analytics (DMA) team in our New York City office. This role is ideal for an experienced environmental data professional with deep knowledge of EQuIS, familiarity with electronic data deliverables (EDDs), federal and state (NYSDEC specific) requirements and New York Brownfield and remediation projects. This person should be ready to dive deep into complex datasets, mentor junior staff, and serve as a technical resource for clients and project teams.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead environmental data management for Brownfield and remediation projects;
  • Advanced use of EarthSoft EQuIS including Enterprise and reporting; 
  • Manage and review NYSDEC EDDs and regulatory submissions; 
  • Act as the primary technical resource for NYSDEC data requirements, including EDDs, laboratory deliverables, and regulatory reporting;
  • Collaborate and coordinate with environmental teams, present at meetings and educate office about data management;
  • Oversee QA/QC and mentor junior analysts; and,
  • Support proposals and client-facing technical discussions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant technical discipline;
  • 5+ years of environmental data management experience;
  • Strong NYSDEC and New York Brownfield project experience;
  • Working knowledge of NYSDEC data requirements, including EDD formats and regulatory deliverables;
  • EQuIS Power User;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; and,
  • SQL, Power BI or GIS skills a plus.

Certain US jurisdictions require Langan to include an estimate of salary or hourly ranges. The estimated range for this role is: $72,000 - $104,000. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, location, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills. Certain roles may be eligible for overtime and participation in the firm's annual bonus and performance review program. Bonuses are discretionary and based on individual job performance and the profitability of the firm. Employees are also eligible to receive up to 20 days of paid vacation time, 10 days of paid sick time and 10 paid holidays throughout the year. Eligibility and actual paid time off may vary based on local law and factors such as hours worked, related work experience and level.
