Job Description:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  • Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety protocols.
  • Respond promptly to life-threatening situations using established protocols and critical care skills.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing [Required]
  • Ability to work as a team player within a unit [Required]
  • Ability to provide leadership, direction, and solve complex problems [Required]
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in clinical skills, multi-tasking, and a professional bedside manner [Required]


Education:

  • Associate's of Nursing [Required]
  • Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]


Work Experience:

  • Experience in a specialty area(s) [Preferred]
