Join Our Team at American Cedar & Millwork!
For more than 40 years, American Cedar & Millwork has been a trusted name in premium building materials across the Mid-Atlantic. Our reputation is built on quality craftsmanship, technical expertise, and exceptional service - and that service doesn't stop once a product is installed.
We are currently seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Window & Door Service Technician to join our Raleigh team. This is a hands-on role for a professional who takes pride in solving problems, supporting customers, and delivering work that reflects the high standards ACM is known for.
Why Choose ACM?

At ACM, you're not just filling a role - you're joining a family-oriented, team-driven workplace where your work is valued and your expertise respected.
Stability, Support & Benefits
We offer a strong benefits package designed to support you on and off the job, including:
  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Volunteer leave
  • Paid family leave for life's most important moments
  • Earned wage access
  • 401(k) with company match

We believe taking care of our people is essential to taking care of our customers.
Built on Values
Everything we do is guided by our core values:
Integrity • Quality • Dedication • Development • Teamwork
We show up, follow through, and do things the right way - every time.
About the Role:
As a Window & Door Service Technician, you will work closely with our sales team, vendors, and customers to provide high-quality post-installation service and technical support. You'll be the trusted expert homeowners rely on - diagnosing issues, coordinating with manufacturers, and ensuring each product performs as intended.
This role is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise, excellent organization skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with customers.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and service screens, balances, glass, sashes, muntins, and related components
  • Perform window and door adjustments, cleaning, and job site cleanup
  • Evaluate homeowner concerns and determine appropriate corrective solutions
  • Understand and apply proper installation methods and functional performance standards
  • Complete service work related to installation or manufacturing issues
  • Resolve service calls efficiently and accurately
  • Travel to customer homes to inspect and repair window and door products
  • Order parts and coordinate directly with manufacturers' service departments
  • Complete warranty and service documentation accurately and on time

What We're Looking For:
  • Valid driver's license
  • Minimum five years of experience in window and door service
  • Background in window service, door service, or finish carpentry
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work safely from ladders
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and pride in craftsmanship
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with customers professionally and empathetically
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks.

What We Provide:
  • Company-supplied service van
  • All required tools and equipment
  • Company cellphone and laptop
  • A supportive team and leadership that has your back

Join Us!
If you're a skilled service professional who values quality work, strong teamwork, and a company that genuinely cares about its people, we'd love to hear from you.
American Cedar & Millwork is an equal-opportunity employer and a drug-free workplace.
