Job Description & Responsibilities

We are seeking a .NET Developer to join our team in Regina. In this role, this individual would be responsible to design, develop and support systems in an exciting manufacturing environment that utilizes current IT technologies to deliver production critical solutions using lean and agile programming methods. This position would report to the Director, Information Systems & Tech.

  • Contribute your technical and professional skills in a team environment that works on applications utilizing:

    • Industrial computers over wireless networks

    • Integrated client/server environment

    • Automation and control through a variety of Industrial protocols

    • Innovation to design and develop customized process feedback solutions

  • Collaborate onsite with our Production, Quality, Health & Safety, Maintenance and Shipping teams to gain knowledge of the different systems they work with

  • Contribute towards design, development, maintenance of proprietary software applications to enable effective functioning of manufacturing systems

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing and deploying applications within a Microsoft .NET environment

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

  • Technical strengths in several of the following Microsoft technologies:

    • Visual Studio VB / C# / ASP.NET

    • Visual C++

    • SQL Server and Management Studio

    • Windows Presentation Framework (WPF)

    • Windows Communication Framework (WCF)

    • Entity Data Model (EDM)

    • Reporting Services

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills

  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Proven ability to balance multiple priorities

  • Collaborative team player, open minded and innovative

  • Applicants must be comfortable in an industrial setting and be willing to take after-hour calls in a 24 x 7 manufacturing environment
