Job description

Front Desk Security Officer

Elite Investigations is seeking experienced and reliable Security Officers to join our growing team in the Bridgewater, NJ area.

This is in a temple environment. As a Front Desk Security Officer, you will be held to above-quality standards as a server of our surrounding communities. Being a Security Officer in this position, you must maintain exceptional customer service skills, while striding in your confident presence with our clients. As a talented team member, you will command a high-standing presence when posted at our sites.

The Security Officer must also have the ability maintain consistent attendance and reliability, as continuity of personnel is highly valued by the client.

The Security Officer must maintain a professional appearance, calm demeanor, and respectful communication at all times. They must demonstrate strong hospitality and customer service skills, as the role includes greeting and assisting temple attendees. The Security Officer must show cultural sensitivity and respect for all religious practices, traditions, and temple activities.

Some of the other duties include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain a visible presence at the front desk or main entrance area and provide access control as needed
  • Officers must remain alert, attentive, and approachable throughout the entire shift.
  • Greet all visitors entering and leaving the building in a polite and professional manner and assist with patience and care
  • Communicate clearly, calmly, and respectfully, and exercise patience when assisting visitors who may have language barriers
  • Maintain discretion and professionalism when interacting with temple leadership, volunteers, and guests.
  • Monitor the entrance area and surrounding public spaces for suspicious activity, safety concerns, or disturbances.
  • Immediately report and respond to incidents, emergencies, or medical situations in accordance with company procedures.
  • Notify temple management and Elite management of any security incidents, injuries, or unusual activity.
  • Complete incident reports when required and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Other duties according to post orders will also apply.

Qualifications:

  • Must have NJ SORA License.
  • Must have High School Diploma/GED
  • Must understand, speak, and be able to write the English language
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and conflict management
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally
  • Attention to detail and strong observation skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Must be 21 years of age or older

Part-time - MUST have open availability
