Entry Level - Survey CAD Technician

Job Description

The Survey CAD Technician supports survey and civil design projects by producing accurate drafting and topographic survey drawings using AutoCAD. This role is ideal for someone new or someone who brings foundational CAD skills, a strong work ethic, and a desire to grow long term with a close-knit drafting and survey team. The team emphasizes character, attitude, and long-term fit, and is committed to training the right person on specific drafting processes and software.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare survey drafting deliverables using AutoCAD, including topographic surveys and land survey drawings.
  • Support survey and civil design projects by converting field survey data into accurate CAD models and plans.
  • Collaborate closely with the CAD team and survey staff to ensure drawings meet project requirements and standards.
  • Apply survey, topography, and land surveying principles to create clear, precise, and well-organized drawings.
  • Assist in the use and application of Civil 3D tools for survey-related drafting when needed.
  • Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and consistency before internal review or delivery.
  • Follow established drafting processes and procedures while being open to learning new methods and software features.
  • Maintain organized CAD files and documentation to support efficient project workflows.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, demonstrating reliability, integrity, and a positive attitude.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
