Job description

Job Title: Drafter

Job Description

We are seeking both experienced and entry-level Detailers who are motivated, driven, and eager to take ownership of their work. This role involves detailing joists and decking, with opportunities for growth and development within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Detail joists and decking to precise specifications.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and transition skills to Tecla for drafting and design.
  • Apply strong foundational drafting principles, such as drawing straight lines and correct dimensioning.
  • Visualize and understand the impact of drawings on construction and fabrication processes.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD with a willingness to transition to Tecla.
  • Experience in 3D modeling and CAD programs.
  • Solid understanding of basic drafting principles.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in structural steel, steel joist detailing, fabrication, machining, mechanics, wood truss, and surveying
  • Project management skills are beneficial
  • Ability to read blueprints and construction plans

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reno, NV.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
